Definitions

  • OF max Operating Force - maximum force that must be applied to move the actuator from rest position totripping point.
  • RF min Release Force- minimum level that operating force must be reduced to that will allow the actuator snap action mechanism to release.
  • PT max Pre-Travel- maximum distance between the rest position and thetripping point.
  • OT min Operating Travel- minimum distance between the rest position and theoperating point.
  • DT max Differential Travel- maximum distance between the tripping point and therelease point.
  • Tripping Point Position of the actuator at which the snap action mechanism starts to operate.
  • Operating Point Position of the actuator at which mechanical and electrical operation will reliably occur.
  • Release Point Position of the actuator at which the snap action mechanism trips on its return to the rest position.
