ADXNP series soft starters - Advanced version

The ADXNP series brings enhanced control and protection to soft motor starting, offering advanced functionality via integrated thermal overload protection and modern connectivity. Configuration is accessible either through front panel potentiometers or via NFC communication using the Lovato NFC App on Android and iOS devices.

These starters feature internal current transformers and support intelligent ramp management, adapting startup behavior to match load conditions. Advanced protection includes locked rotor detection, current asymmetry, low load detection, and starter timeout. Separate thermal classes can be set for startup and stopping phases. An optional RS485 (ModbusRTU) module (CX04) enables integration into supervisory control systems. Preconfigured factory settings allow immediate deployment, with flexibility for finetuning via NFC.

ADXN series - Compact soft starters (two-phase control)

ADXN soft starters are a simple, compact (only 45 mm width) and fast-to-configure products for the gradual control of the starting and stopping of motors. The versatility makes it suitable for several applications for the control of pumps, fans, conveyor belts, compressors. Available with rated currents from 6 to 45A.

• Economical soft starters for motors up to 22 kW (400 VAC)
• Rated operational voltage: 208…600 VAC
• Integrated bypass relay disabling the thyristors once the starting ramp has concluded
• Ready to use - factory set configurations for quick and simple commissioning
• Suitable for IE3 premium efficiency motors

Integrated protection functions include: Soft starter thermal protection with integrated temperature sensor,
line frequency/voltage out of tolerance, line voltage not present, phase loss, incorrect phase sequence.

ADXL series - Soft starters (two-phase control)

ADXL series soft starters feature a backlit LCD icon display and NFC connectivity for convenient configuration, accessible even from smartphones and tablets. Ideal for both straightforward "plug and play" setups and demanding applications requiring precise control and protection during motor startup and operation.

Incorporating two-phase control during motor starting and stopping torque control during operation.
General features:
• Auxiliary supply: 100...240 VAC • Rated operational voltage: 208...600 VAC
• Programming, data download and diagnostics via incorporated optical port with CX01/02
• Voltage ramp startup, torque ramp, kick start, with or without current limit
• Selectable default application: Centrifugal pump, fire pump, conveyor belt, fan, mixer and general purpose
• Optional RS-485 communication with EXC1042
• Indicating: - Voltage - current L1/L2/L3 - torque - active power - PF - motor thermal status
- Soft starter temperature - active energy - motor hour counter - startup counte

ADXT... series - Advanced heavy-duty soft starters (three-phase control)

ADXT... soft starters for applications requiring high performance, reliability and robustness. Mainly used for control of heavy loads due to high torque availability during starting, overcoming the inertia of
applications such as crushers, fans, vertical/inclined conveyors, screw compressors etc.

The integrated or internal bypass contactor disabling the thyristors once motor starting is completed,
reducing energy consumption, generated heating and power dissipation.
• Auxiliary supply voltage 110...120 / 220...240 VAC
• Rated operational voltage 380...690 VAC

Advanced features:
- Various motor starting modes / Emergency mode: Running of the motor ignoring alarms
- Power Through function: allow starting with a damaged thyristor (2-phase control)
- Scheduled start: timer & clock modes, based on ADXT RTC
- Control of breaking/reversing contactors

ADXT soft starters can be installed with traditional in-line connection or inside delta connection
(six-wire connection) with thyristors connected in series to each motor winding. In this configuration, requiring
six-wire motors, the soft starter is only crossed by the phase current, which is significantly lower than the line current.

This permits the use of a smaller starter, resulting in cost savings, and simplifies the replacement
of star-delta starters since the existing wiring is retained
