From intelligent robotics and advanced sensing technologies to industrial safety and drive solutions, Australian Manufacturing Week 2026 showcased the technologies shaping the future of manufacturing — and Mechtric was proud to be part of it.
Mechtric recently attended Australian Manufacturing Week 2026 in Brisbane, showcasing the latest in industrial automation, safety, signalling and drive technology alongside a range of globally recognised manufacturing partners.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with customers, suppliers and industry professionals from across the manufacturing and automation sectors, while discussing the technologies shaping the future of Australian industry.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited the Mechtric stand throughout the event. The level of engagement, conversations and interest across the showcased technologies was outstanding.
One of the standout demonstrations on the Mechtric stand was the live Delta Electronics robotic automation display. The demonstration showcased how automation, sensing and intelligent control technologies can work together in real time within modern industrial applications.
Using a Delta robot, balls were randomly selected from a pit and checked for colour using an ELCO Automation colour sensor. If the sensor identified the ball as blue, the robot placed it onto the ramp. If another colour was detected, the robot returned it back into the pit for reprocessing.
While simple in concept, the demonstration provided a practical example of how modern automation systems can deliver fast, repeatable and intelligent sorting processes within manufacturing environments. It also highlighted the integration capabilities between robotics, sensing technologies and industrial control systems.
Australian Manufacturing Week 2026 once again proved to be a valuable platform for collaboration, innovation and industry engagement, and Mechtric looks forward to continuing the conversations and partnerships formed throughout the event.
